Our research is entitled “Dalandan peelings and calamansi extract as an alternative fire ant killer.” Firstly, we will conduct this study because we would like to minimize the problem of having a large number of fire ants in our community. Nowadays, we as households view ants as pests because not only it carries bacteria but also it can harm our body by means of biting our skin that cause itching. This is the reason behind why we would like to make an alternative fire ant killer which is affordable and an all natural product. It will lessen the use of harmful pesticides which contain harmful chemicals that can harm our environment. It can also cause an imbalance in our ecosystem. With the success of our research it will have a great contribution to our community. Households will benefit from it because it will provide them knowledge about alternative uses of dalandan peelings and calamansi extract. It will provide them a productive output, a low cost all natural ant killer. The materials to be used in this study are readily found in our home. It is also locally found in our country. Lastly it changes how we view this citrus fruits. This study aims to prove the effectiveness of this natural product and differentiate it from the commercial product. It will let the people more aware of alternative uses for these materials.
